Gareth Clegg - B.Eng., M.A., P.Eng.
Gareth completed his Bachelor of Engineering (Hons) at Queen’s University in Belfast, Northern Ireland, in 2015 and began working in the field of geotechnical engineering immediately following. Gareth joined GeoPacific in April 2022 and has experience working on a wide variety of projects in the Lower Mainland, and elsewhere in British Columbia and Alberta. His experience includes seismic design, foundation design, slope stability assessment, retaining wall design, large-scale excavations, and soft soil engineering across a range of projects for temporary and permanent structures. Gareth oversees and manages many of our junior engineering staff and is often relied upon for technical guidance on deep foundation design.
Recent notable projects under his responsibility have been the S&R Sawmills soil densification for lateral spread mitigation, the Grouse Mountain Gondola construction, the Joyce 2 tower development and deep excavation at 5055 Joyce Street, CFA piling for the AbCellera facility at Evans Avenue, and numerous Vancouver River District Developments including water cut-off walls for Parcels 11, 13, 14, 19 and 29.
