Alex Gossen - M.Eng., P.Eng., P.Geo.
Alex earned a Diploma of Technology in Mining and Mineral Exploration from the British Columbia
Institute of Technology in 2010, a Bachelors of Science in Geological Engineering from the University of
Montana in 2012, and a Masters in Engineering from the University of British Columbia in Geotechnical
Engineering. He joined GeoPacific in 2013 working on various projects throughout the Lower Mainland,
British Columbia, and Washington State.
Alex is experienced in several temporary and permanent ground support design and construction methods,
shallow and deep foundation designs, seismic design, slope stability assessments, and retaining wall design.
Alex is a registered Professional Engineer and Geoscientist in British Columbia and enjoys working on
large scale urban excavations for residential, commercial, industrial and infrastructure projects. Recently
he has been involved on a number of hybrid excavation support design methods and deep urban
groundwater cut-off wall design and excavation support in the Lower Mainland.
