Boris Kolev - M.A.Sc., P.Eng.
Boris Kolev has worked in the field of geotechnical engineering since 2016 and has experience on a wide variety of projects in the Greater Vancouver Area and the Seattle Area. He has a comprehensive background in numerical modelling, probabilistic seismic hazard assessment, site response analysis, seismic design, slope stability assessment, soft-soil sites treatment, retaining wall design, deep excavation and shoring design for projects varying from small residential buildings, industrial developments, high-rise towers and tilt up commercial buildings.
Boris holds a Bachelor of Engineering Degree with Honors in Civil Engineering from The University of Edinburgh and a Master of Applied Science (M.Sc.) Degree in Geotechnical Engineering from the University of British Columbia with a research thesis focused on the numerical modelling of the response of a hydroelectric dam in Quebec. Boris is registered as a Professional Engineer in British Columbia.
